Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to the 5th International Society for Bipolar Disorders Conference, which is due to take place in İstanbul, Turkey, from 14 - 17 March 2012. İstanbul, the melting pot of continents and cultures over centuries will be an inspirational and excellent host for the official biennial meeting of ISBD, the premier global bipolar disorder research and advocacy group. The ISBD is committed to diversity and inclusiveness in all its activities, and aims to bring together international scientists and clinicians to advance shared goals.

Bipolar disorder is one of the most rapidly evolving areas of psychiatry. Active research generates new knowledge on bipolar disorder in an ever growing manner. This meeting aims to provide an opportunity to share the cutting edge findings presented by distinguished experts in the field. The scientific program will include plenary lectures, symposia, workshops, oral communications and poster sessions, and a forum for involving patient advocacy and support groups. It will also provide an opportunity for the ISBD workgroups, networks, and chapters to meet to carry their activities forward.
