Call for Symposia

The Scientific Organizing Committee of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) is pleased to announce the call for symposia for the 5th Biennial Conference of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders. The meeting will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 14 - 17 March 2012. We have greatly expanded opportunities for submitted symposia in this year’s program, which will include 7 parallel submitted symposia.

Submission: If you are interested in organizing a symposium, please follow the instructions on the conference website and submit your symposium proposal in English no later than July 15th, 2011.
Duration: Each symposium will run for 90 minutes
Topics: First preference will be given to symposia in one of the the following areas however, proposals that do not correspond to one of these areas are also welcome.

Bipolar II – Diagnostic and Therapeutic Updates
Late Life Bipolar Disorder
Psychological Interventions for Bipolar Disorder
Advances in Neurobiological Mechanisms of Bipolar Disorder
Exploring Diagnostic Boundaries Between Mood Disorders and Psychosis
Setting up a Bipolar Disorder Clinical Service
Developing a Career in Bipolar Disorder

Notification of Applicants: Notification of applicants will be via email no later than September 12th 2011 and will include an assigned day and time for the presentation.
Funding: ISBD is unable to support any costs associated with attending the meeting, including but not limited to registration, travel and accommodation.
